Nocturnal Enuresis (bedwetting) can be a frustrating and sensitive subject for both parents and kids and at Peak Potential we strive to help kids have proper bladder control by treating the underlying issue. The bladder itself is a muscle and is controlled by the nervous system. With normal bladder control, nerves in the bladder send a message to the brain when the bladder is full and the brain then sends a message back to the bladder to keep it from automatically emptying. However, if there is a miscommunication between the brain and the bladder, those messages can be distorted and bedwetting can happen because of that. With our non-invasive, neurological testing, we can measure that communication and see if that’s the reason they are struggling to be dry at night. Then with our care plan and the neurological, gentle adjustments Dr. Julia provides, we restore the communication between the brain and the body and allow those messages to be clear as they should be. We are not specifically treating nocturnal enuresis, but rather restoring the communication within the nervous system and allow the body to function as it should and we love celebrating the wins of staying dry at night with parents and kids! Let us make sleepovers fun for your child!
