As we look forward to 2025, we’re reflecting on the habits that made the biggest impact on our health and well-being this last year. At our chiropractic clinic in Minnetonka MN, we believe in practicing what we preach, and each member of our team has embraced unique routines to stay grounded, energized, and thriving. We’re excited to share these habits with you—maybe you’ll find some inspiration to carry into your own life this year!
Dr. Julia’s Healthy Habits in Minnetonka MN
- Prioritizing Sleep: With my almost 2-year-old finally sleeping through the night, I’ve made going to bed before 10 PM a priority to ensure I get enough rest.
- Hydration with Minerals: Adding trace minerals to my water has been a game-changer—without them, I notice lower energy and occasional morning headaches.
- Sourdough: I’ve been in my sourdough era for a year now and feel great feeding this healthier bread option to myself and my family.
- Sauna Sessions: I sauna 4x/week, which helps with sweating, detoxing, and giving my nervous system a much-needed 20-minute reset (essential with 3 kids under 6!).
- Walking & Pilates: Quick, efficient movement like 20–30 minutes of walking or Pilates keeps my heart healthy and strengthens my stabilizing muscles.
- Neurological Adjustments: Regular care from Dr. Natalie and Dr. Lashonda helps maximize my nervous system, keeping me a happy and healthy mom of three.
Dr. Lashonda’s Healthy Habits
- Gym Workouts: Hitting the gym 2–3 times a week keeps me strong, energized, and mentally sharp.
- Sauna Time: A weekly sauna session helps me detox, relax, and reset both body and mind.
- Nightly Reading: Ending each day with a good book nurtures my mind and helps me unwind.
- Chiropractic Care: Weekly adjustments keep my body functioning at its best.
- Daily Nature Time: Spending time outside every day grounds me, relieves stress, and recharges my energy.
Dr. Natalie’s Healthy Habits
- Chiropractic Care: I got adjusted 1–3x/week by the best docs!
- Sauna Sessions (3–4x/Week): I made time for the sauna multiple times a week to detox & sweat.
- Resistance Training (3–4x/Week): This has been helping me build muscle and strength back after giving birth to my son last year.
- 21-Day Detox: I completed the 21-day detox in September. This was a transformative experience for me. It helped reset my digestion, clear out toxins, and helped me refocus on prioritizing whole foods, and eat more paleo/keto-ish, which feels really good for me.
- Walks with My Son: I tried my best to get my son outside every day and push him in the stroller.
- Listening to Audiobooks (1–2/Month): I’ve made it a priority to listen to 1–2 audiobooks a month. This habit keeps me learning, inspired, and entertained during walks, rocking my son to sleep, and while I work out.
Mr. Sam’s Healthy Habits
- No Alcohol
- Limited Sugar
- No Processed Foods
- Protein and Healthy Fats for Breakfast
- Weight Training: Minimum 4 times per week.
- Sauna-ing: 3 times per week.
- Chiropractic Adjustments: 2 times per week.
- Being in Bed by 9 PM: Even on weekends!
- Limited/No Caffeine: This is a big one! I’ve been a coffeeholic for years and decided to cut it out cold turkey this fall. It’s been hard, but I feel a real improvement to my well-being.

Ms. Calli’s Healthy Habits
- Calories & Macros: Tracking my calorie intake and macros has helped me understand the importance of the food I’m putting into my body.
- Protein: I aim for 1+ gram of protein per pound of body weight daily (about 130–160g) and have noticed higher energy levels and an overall sense of well-being.
- Activity: I prioritize 10,000+ steps a day and lift weights three times a week.
- Hormonal Health: Since stopping hormonal birth control, my mood and energy have improved significantly.
- Clean Eating: I focus on buying organic, whole foods and choosing cleaner options.
- Oura Ring: Thanks to Sam and Dr. Julia, I’ve been using an Oura Ring to track and enhance my health on a deeper level.
- Chiropractic Care: Weekly adjustments by the best doctors!
